Roger Perrot, the last of the founding four Partners of Ozannes, van Leuven, Perrot & Evans, will be retiring at the end of the year.  Advocate Perrot stepped down as Senior Partner earlier this year, handing over the reins to leading local litigator, Peter Ferbrache.

Despite the credit crunch, Jersey witnessed a growing number of unregulated funds. Two teams in our Jersey office were involved in the launch of some of the first such funds including one specialising in agricultural land. Although the launch of the unregulated funds in Jersey could not have come at a worse time - the beginning of the credit crunch, nearly 50 such funds have been launched in Jersey. Marcus Stone, a partner in our Jersey office, believes that “there will be a surge in such funds being established in the final quarter of 2009 as we are now seeing a growing number of initial enquiries”.
